6/29/2010 Ministry Update
As the dust has settled from our stay in Harlan, we have been seeking the Lord concerning our ministry and His vision for where we are to serve and in what capacity. We have doors opening for evangelism home and abroad! Praise God for great doors and effectual!
He has opened a door for us to Guntur, India. We will be working with Elim Full Gospel Ministries in Guntur and assisting at their orphanized home. They currently have 22 boys and 13 girls from the ages of 7-15. We will also be conducting prayer meetings and focusing on evangelism for the 3 months stay in Guntur.
Presently the needs are as follows:
Passports (2) $300.00
Immunizations $500.00
Airfare $2500.00
Meals (90 days) $1200.00
Vehicle $13,000.00 (See Below)
Land-farming $6,900.00 (See Below)
Misc $500.00
Building...........Unknown at this time
Totals $24,900.00 + the building expense
We have raised $500 so far and have much to accomplish in a short amount of time!
The needs at the orphanized home are as follows:
1. Currently they are renting a home at 20,000.0 Rupees per month Approx $430.00
2. They are in need of a larger housing and food and clothing for the children.
(Due to the various needs and air limits it is better for us to purchase these items in India rather than travel with them.)
3. A vehicle for transporting the children.
I have researched land and vehicles and here are some of my findings:
Blocks are available between $24-$35.00/sq yard
A tract of land-5acres that can be cultivated for farming is $6900.00
Vehicles range from a 12 passenger vehicle for $12,000.00
To a 15 passenger van for $14,000.00
The need is great but our God is much greater!!
We are seeking host churches that will allow us a mission-moment (approx 5-7 minutes) set us a table and collect a love offering for our journey.
